The world's most interesting people who can talk about China and our world today.

Just hours before Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, I spoke to political scientist Maria Repnikova, who studies communication and politics in non-democratic regimes.

We talked by video call about her new book, Chinese Soft Power, the Olympics and the Ukraine crisis.

You can find a video version of the recording on Youtube, there is a highly abridged text version of the Q&A on SupChina, and Maria’s website is here.
